The mission
Almost every time you drive on the highway, you pass them: massive concrete parts that separate the lanes from each other and greatly increase safety on Germany's highways.
900 of these parts, with a total weight of about 1,700 tons, had to be transported at short notice from Thursday, April 8, to the following Wednesday, April 14.
As the regular carrier of our new customer was not able to handle this order on time, we were brought on board. This happened in a situation where hardly any trucks were available on the transport market.
- Mission 1
19 trucks were loaded on April 8 with about 25 tons of concrete parts each and transported from the Saarbrücken area to Hasselt in Belgium by 9.00 p.m. the following day. - Mission 2
20 trucks delivered concrete parts from Leipzig to Rostock from April 12 to April 13 and 14. - Mission 3
20 trucks delivered the remaining concrete parts from Gera to Rostock, also from April 12 to April 13 and 14.
The customer was thrilled.
