Transportation of big kitchen containers

Nine 10 tons containers had to be delivered to the 3rd level, but the carrying capacity of the roof was too low.

Nine kitchen containers weighing 10 tons each

Lift to the 3rd level with a 250 tons special crane

Load distribution using a wooden floor and long steel beams

The mission

To lift the containers measuring 10 m x 3 m x 3.10 m from the street to the 3rd level and place them on the roof, we had to use a special 250 tons crane with the corresponding reach.

The challenge

However, that was not the actual challenge: the carrying capacity of the roof was limited to 500 kg per square meter.

It was therefore necessary to distribute the point loads of the containers using an elaborate wooden floor and long steel beams so that the containers could be moved across approximately 60 m on the roof.
